Easy No Court Divorce and Uncontested Divorces are basically divorces whereby the parties agree to all of the terms of the divorce.
Contested Divorces will have various issues which are contested by the parties including issues of custody of children, child support, property division, debt division, spousal support, attorney’s fees and court costs.
Annulments are proceedings which declare the marriage to be null and void and the grounds for an annulment are set forth in the applicable Nevada statutes.
Custody Cases may involve custody of children between either married or unmarried persons and may include issues with regard to the paternity of a minor child. Criteria for the court to consider to make a determination as to the custody of the minor children are set forth in the applicable Nevada statutes and will be considered by the court in the event the parties are unable to reach an agreement with regard to the custody of the minor children.
Child Support may be set dependent on the custody arrangement between the parties, the statutory formula for support set forth in the applicable Nevada statutes and the factors which allow the court to deviate from the statutory formula which are set forth in the applicable Nevada statutes.
Post Divorce Issues and Divorce Modifications include proceedings to enforce the terms of a decree of divorce. Post Divorce Issues also arise primarily from a substantial and material change of circumstances which warrants a modification of the terms of the decree of divorce in the event the court has jurisdiction to modify the particular provisions contained within the decree of divorce.
Non-Divorce Custody and Support Modifications may also arise from a change of circumstances between the parties which warrants a modification of the terms of the underlying custody or support order.
Domestic Partnerships are recognized by the Nevada Revised Statutes which statutes grant to domestic partners that are properly registered as domestic partners the same rights, protections, benefits, and responsibilities as spouses. The specific provisions are set forth in the applicable Nevada statutes.
Temporary Protection Orders (TPO) Domestic Violence Cases are cases where a party may obtain a temporary protection order or extended protection order in the event the party or the child of the party is a victim of domestic violence. The applicable Nevada statutes set forth the specific acts which constitute domestic violence.
Name Changes are cases where a party or a minor child may obtain a name change for personal or business reasons as set forth in the applicable Nevada statutes.
